CAMEL TREK WITH 2 NIGHTS IN MERZOUGA CAMP

Merzouga Sahara Tours organize camel tour in Merzouga. We enjoy Merzouga excursion In Sahara desert. Camel trekking in Merzouga desert is most popular activity in Morocco. This Merzouga Sahara desert tour starts in the late afternoon / evening, and we ride camels for around 1 hour to reach Merzouga desert camp. Once we reach a camp we enjoy a Berber dinner - served in desert camp. We will spend this night in Merzouga desert camp with Berber drum music in Sahara desert.

On the second day after breakfast in the camp we explore Merzouga desert by 4x4 vehicle. We visit ‘village of the blacks’ in Khamlia. It is famous for local musicians ,originally slaves from Mali and Senegal. We will drive across the desert area to meet Nomad families-living under Berber tents. After traditional Berber lunch meal - Berber pizza, with a local family. We visit the traditional old city of Rissani surrounded by about 360 ksar. The city has a big souk (an open market). Rissani as once called Sijilmassa, was the meeting place for the salt caravans. Caravans were coming from Mali - Tombouctou.

Then we drive back to the the desert camp for dinner served in front of the tent where we will spend the night.
