DESCRIPTION FOR 10 DAYS GUIDED TOUR FROM CASABLANCA

10 days tour from Casablanca / Guided Tours across Morocco

• We go to Chefchaouenin Rif and tour the Merzouga desert.
• We go to Ait Benhaddou and Marrakech.

DAY 1: CASABLANCA – RABAT - CHEFCAHOUEN:

Merzouga Sahara Tours arranges individual 10-day tours departing from Casablanca. We will meet you at the airport and transport you to Rabat. We will visit Morocco's administrative capital and the king's home. We'll go to Hassan Tower. This mosque's minaret was never completed, yet it serves as a symbol for the city. In addition, we go to the Kasbah des Ouiduias. Then, in the afternoon, we travel through the Rif Mountains to the beautiful town of Chefchaouen.

DAY 2: EXPLORING CHEFCAHOUEN:

Explore Chefchaoun, a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind city with white walls, blue doors and windows. Chefchaoun, unlike many Moroccan cities, was colonized by Spain, which explains why there is so much influence from Spanish civilisation and Moorish architecture. You will have some free time in the afternoon, which allows you to go for an unguided stroll or simply enjoy some alone time before returning to your hotel for the night.

DAY 3: CHEFCHAOUEN - FES:

After breakfast, you will go for the ancient Roman remains of Volubilis. The morning will be spent touring the 2000-year-old ruins and gaining a sense of life during the Roman Empire. Visit the holy city of Moulay Idriss as well. Lunch will be served at Meknes, Morocco's imperial city. After lunch, your guide will take you on a tour of Meknes before transporting you to Fes, Morocco's cultural and spiritual center. Overnight in Fes at a hotel.

DAY 4: FES MEDINA EXCURSION:

Enjoy a guided tour of the medina of Fes, one of the world's biggest walled towns. You will walk through small alleyways lined with fresh fruit, heaps of spices, elaborately woven Berber rugs, and many other Moroccan art pieces. A tour to the King's Palace, tanneries, and potters are just a few of the locations you will see. Lunch may be taken in a typical restaurant in the center of the medina. Following lunch, you will continue the tour before returning to your riad for the evening.

DAY 5: FES - IFRANE - MIDELT - MERZOUGA DESERT

After breakfast, we'll set out on a scenic ride across the Middle Atlas towards Ifrane, passing through hills covered in forests of cork oak and gigantic cedar, which are home to a few Barbary apes. After lunch in Midelt, we travel into the High Atlas Mountains, which rise behind the town and give a stunning backdrop. Driving through the Ziz valley, we arrive at Erfoud and continue on to Merzouga. Overnight stay in a hotel with dinner.

DAY 6: MERZOUGA DESERT EXCURSION:

We explore the Merzouga and Khamlia regions. We visit the Gnaoua tribe, who were initially imported from Mali as slaves. You'll be able to listen to Gnawa music and learn about their culture and way of life. We will learn about the nomadic lifestyle by driving a 4x4 vehicle. We'll go to see native nomad families that live in tents in the Erg Chebbi dunes. We ride camels to a Berber camp in the heart of the Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes in the afternoon. The camel ride to the camp takes around 90 minutes. In the heart of the desert, you will witness one of the most stunning sunsets of your life, followed by hundreds of stars. In the center of the Sahara, you will spend the night in a camp (Berber nomad tents) with meals and live music.

DAY 7: MERZOUGA - TODRA VALLEY - DADES VALLEY:

We get up early and climb a high dune to capture some beautiful sunset photos. After breakfast, we will transport you to Rissani and Tinerhir, which are famous for their lovely palm groves and Jewish quarters. Visit Todra Canyon, Morocco's tallest oasis valley gorge, with 300m sheer walls and a mouth just 20m wide. The following stop is Dades Gorge. Another fantastic trekking and climbing location, with sheer multicolored rock all around. Dinner and stay in a Dades hotel.

DAY 8: DADES - SKOURA - AIT BENHADDOU - MARRAKECH:

After breakfast, you will go to the Valley of the Roses, then to Skoura, and we will tour Ouarzazate. You will see one of Morocco's gems, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. True gems, in classic Moroccan manner, must be sought out and discovered, generally off the main road. After lunch, you'll travel over the highlands to Marrakech. Overnight stay in a hotel.

DAY 9: MARRAKECH GUIDED MEDINA EXCURSION:

We tour Marrakech with a native guide, who will take you through the meandering alleyways, busy souks, and the city's focal point – the vast Djemâa-el-Fna, which has snake charmers, monkeys, musicians, and cuisine. Since 2001, this square has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marrakech's souks are bustling. There's a lot to see, taste, and smell. Following that, you may go to Jardin Majorelle.

DAY 10: MARRAKECH - CASABLANCA:
