4-Day Merzouga Desert Tour from Marrakech

We visit the Atlas Mountains as well as Ait Benhaddou.
We visit Ouarzazate, Dades and Todra Gorges, ride camels in Merzouga desert, and spend a night in a Sahara desert tent.

DAY 1 : MARRAKECH – TIZI N'TICHKA - AIT BENHADDOU - OUARZAZATE - SKOURA - DADES GORGES:

Merzouga Sahara Tours organizes customized 4 day tours from Marrakech today. We will pick you up at 8 a.m. and journey across the Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2260m/7414 f) while enjoying spectacular views of the mountains and Berber towns along the way. Stop for lunch and a tour to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (This well-known kasbah has used as a setting for over 20 films.) Continue on into Ouarzazate. Skoura oisis, with its authentic 17th century kasbah, the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, and the Dades Gorge, towards the Valley of Roses and the Dades valley. Spend the night in a hotel.

DAY 2 : DADES GORGES – TINGHIR – TOUDRA GORGES - TINJDAD - ERFOUD – MERZOUGA:

After breakfast at the hotel, we continue our 4-day Marrakech desert tour to Merzouga. Depart towards the Todra Gorge, a major fault that rises to 300 meters in a narrow valley filled with thickly forested palmeries and Berber villages. After lunch in the gorge, we will drive to Erg Chebbi's magnificent sand dunes. Where will you take a camel ride (about one hour and a half) to arrive to your tents Nomadic Berber, dinner, camp fire, drum celebration, and overnight stay in the desert.

DAY 3 : MERZOUGA - RISSANI - TAZARINE - NKOB – DRAA VALLEY - AGDEZ – OUARZAZATE:

After watching the sunrise in the desert, we return on camels to Merzouga, have a shower in the hotel, and then begin our drive to Ouarzazate via the Berber towns of the Atlas Mountains (Tinjdad, tenghir todra gorges, and Boumalene-du-Dades). We arrive in the evening/night.

DAY 4 : OUARZAZATE - KASBAH AIT BENH HADDOU - ATLAS MOUNTAINS - MARRAKECH:

We will leave Ouarzazate in the morning to see the UNESCO protected site of Ait BENHADDOU. Morocco's most spectacular Kasbah and well-preserved fortress. Many movies, including Gladiator, were filmed here. We're on our way to the beautiful Atlas Mountains. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Morocco's highest road pass, Tizni Tichka (2260m), which offers breathtaking views of valleys, mountains, and several Berber communities. Arrive in the evening...
